DESIGN YOUR MANIFESTATION in Your Crystal Palace

Cosmologically Speaking, this New Moon in Capricorn offers the most potent opportunity to plant the seeds of your life's goals - for the archetype of the SeaGoat, Capricorn, describes the depth of our purpose manifested in the material at its highest level.  We just celebrated two holidays that express this, Hanukkah and Christmas.  There was enough oil and the Teacher manifested the greatest expression of love.

The Secret Comes from Ancient Taoism

The art behind the "Secret" we've heard about over the last decade comes from ancient Taoism.  There is a qigong form called The Three Gates of Enlightenment.  It empowers the practitioner to practice the logic of manifestation through the body.  The idea is that everything that exists was once three dots.  The first dot is the idea or the intent.  When the thought is repeated with strong intention it becomes a feeling.  Given a certain amount feeling it becomes a belief.  Over time the held belief eventually becomes a physical manifestation...and so it is that a rock, a tree, a river, a person is a manifestation of these three keys - intent, feeling, and physical manifestation. The sound of this process is Om.  The visual image is the merkabah also known as the Sri Yantra - an upside down pyramid or the receptive, and the upright pyramid, the giver of the idea.  Together these two pyramids seem to interpenetrate each other.  There is a dot in the middle, the bindi, that represents the idea.  These three areas/gates become the embodiment of WISDOM, JOY and HEALTH/WEALTH.  The I Ching and Feng Sui are based upon the principles of these three gates. the trigrams, that emerge from them.  Of the three gates, feeling is the most powerful.  Feeling is the bridge between intent and material manifestation.  It is the magnet.  It is literally this simple and this complex.


                                                            Your Manifestation

What are the ways you would like to express your wisdom, joy and wealth?  Let your imagination flow.  Place yourself in an imaginary crystal palace.  Sit quietly and feel what comes to you from the depths of your ancient self, your greatest ancestors, and your heart in the present.  Capricorn is about fathering these seeds.  Go into your imaginary crystal palace everyday and nurture these three seeds daily.  Watch how these seeds show development in two weeks on the full moon.  Look for even the smallest sign.  When you make this connection you are consciously on your way to embracing your God-given power to manifest.  We all use it. daily unwittingly  It remains unconscious until we pick it up and consciously become the architects of our lives.

GLOBAL AWAKENING - Personal Goals

Bruce Lee, the great martial artist philosopher took his top students to the beach.  He had them circle around him.  he then squat down and drew a line in the sand.  He had his students scratching their heads and boggling their minds by asking them this question: "How do you make this line shorter without touching it?"

After they could not come up with an immediate answer he drew a longer line parallel to it.  I share this story quite frequently with my students.  I love how most of the women have a different answer.  They usually suggest moving away from it... like being on a vacation or higher up like looking at it from an airplane... or higher.

Big Mind; Small Mind

Cosmologically Speaking, the Full Moon in Gemini, lights up communication on a personal as well as global scale.  Sagittarius holds the "big picture" perspective.  It's essence says "I see."  Gemini uses the logical cognitive mind.  It connects the dots in front of it, in its immediate environment and says "I think and I communicate."  To many of us, the world seems to be in a state of chaos.  All the changes, the results of the elections, man's inhumanity to humanity and so much more, generate a sweeping atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.  The archetype of this full moon, big mind, small mind, can be used to discover what has come to light on a global level and, equally, what has come to light on a personal level.

Still Purging

A few blogs ago I mentioned that we are in a time of purging the paradigms that have governed us.  All that is not in service of our evolution will be brought to the surface and cleaned out.  There will be many surprises.  Up close this feels like chaos and destruction.  From the bigger picture perspective it makes sense.  The more that comes up, the faster we can collectively purge what is keeping us from moving into a more evolved state.  The hallmark of a more evolved consciousness is a more inclusive heart - one that is collectively empathic and responsive to the needs of the many, rather than the few.  The beauty and the challenge is our multimedia platform means for communicating relays some of the behind the scenes events as well as lies.  In another time what may have taken decades to discover is swiftly revealed.  That which was kept secret (Scorpio/power/politics) is made public (Sagitarrius/releasing limitations/uplifting humanity) by media (Gemini/communication in many languages).

Time to Mature

As one of the younger societies we, Americans (not referring to the original Americans). are relatively young in the world.  We are being pushed to grow up - to mature in our awareness.  It is rather like a child who has experienced the world through crawling.  The moment the child stands upright, its perspective on the world changes as does its life.  We are learning to do that spiritually.  We are being pushed, sometimes kicking and screaming, into a bigger perspective on how the world has been operating.  Our childlike innocence is transforming in the glaring light of the bigger picture.  For instance, I am struck by art imitating life imitating art - Alexander Hamilton, the hottest play out on Broadway now, focuses on a man whose highly relevant essay on how the electors should take a deliberate role in protecting against a foreign government interfering in our government processes, is eerily resonant.  

Time to Connect the Dots

With so much to think about Sagittarius, the part horse, part human archer archetype of consciousness, would have us use our intuitive minds and gut instincts to shoot the arrow of our personal goals and then go there.  On this full moon find as many ways as possible to communicate your goals that will contribute to your expanded awareness and how you may contribute to the bigger picture.  Look at the people with whom you have communicated over the last few days, today, and the next few days to come.  They are each part of a code for your evolution. ...a snapshot of your evolutionary consulate. Connect those dots.  See your "longer line", your role in the bigger picture.  Then shoot your goal arrows through writing or speaking.  The more you do this, the better you will feel.

Enjoy your bigger perspective.  You will know you have connected with it when you feel joy for this is the purpose of the bigger picture.

YOU, CONSCIOUSNESS; YOU, TEACHER

Cosmologically Speaking, this New Moon in Sagittarius, is the time to plant the seeds of your intention for what you want grow into.  The Sagittarius archetype awakens our intuitive knowing beyond book learning.  It represents our desire to expand beyond our limitations through higher education, the big picture, intuition, philosophy, confidence, optimism, teaching, preaching, public speaking, publishing and sport.

Consciousness  

As the days are getting shorter, winter draws us in and darkness seems to have the upper hand.   What better time to go inside ourselves to the inner light.   Sagittarius is the fire sign that has been described as a candle that brings its magic into the moment.  It is pure inspiration.  Consciousness is the part of Self that is integrated into the details of our daily life.  It is the light you bring to every moment, your ethical and moral attitudes which are driven by your beliefs.  It is who is looking behind your eyes, who is listening inside your ears, who is feeling inside your heart, etc.  Belief is thought that is repeated over a period of time - usually three months or more.  It is the bridge between thought and physical manifestation.  In other words, when thought congeals into feeling in your heart, it becomes belief.  Belief is the bridge and the magnet that brings your thoughts, your vision into "reality."  It is a known fact that we tend to think ten thousand thoughts a day and 90+% of them are negative self or other denigrating ones. Yikes! Just think of what is being manifested!  Consciousness is contagious in the fields we occupy.  This means our attitudes and beliefs are impacting everything in our environments.  It could very well be that each us energy-wielding beings is the universe expanding itself.  What do you want to see grow in yourself, your environment, your family? Write it down and/or record it as your New Moon intent.

You Are the Teacher and Preacher

My mother told me that when I was an infant my first words were not 'mama or dada."  My first three words were 'Dee da Yights!' ('See the Lights!').  

A helpful teacher is one who has discovered something that is edifying and whose heart's desire is to share the discovery... to spread the gospel.  Think about the major influences in your life.  What did they activate in you?  What has been inspired?  What lifted you out of where you were stuck?  How did this inspiration feed your beliefs?  Remember, what you believe you attract - no matter what the surrounding circumstances.  This is a time to plant the seeds of ways you want to bring light to your life.  What is your vision of how your life can be?  Once you know and feel it the universe gets to work.  This is the beginning of the basic meaning of spirituality - that which puts you in touch with your ever-light, ever-expanding Self.  Spirit leads you into that which frees, rather than toward that which imprisons you.  Sagittarius is the archer, half human, half horse - who shoots the arrow just for the shear joy of discovering where it takes you and all the experiences in between.  Spirit expands you from where you once were in your awareness.  What are you teaching? Where do you want to shoot your arrows?  

With all that is going on in the world we need light to proliferate more than ever.  Anyone weakling can bully.  Any ill sadist bring darkness and pain.  Why not be the light that you are? It takes real courage.  If nothing else, use the darkness to launch you into more light ...like the mud launches the beautiful lotus.

DAMAGE DONE, ANOTHER SUN SHALL RISE

Cosmologically Speaking, what can I say?  The Super Beaver Full Moon will appear very close to the earth.  It hasn't been this way since 1948 and won't be again until 2034.   Pain and fear in so many hearts.  This Super Beaver Full Moon in Taurus puts its spotlight on an apparent seismically transformed ground - one that has shaken and shocked the world. 

 In my last full moon blog titled IS IT ARMAGEDDON or PURIFICATION, I mentioned that we would have surprises, and so we have.  Before the light of day shows itself that transformation can bring, we have to purge the deepest social elements that have prevented our renaissance -- fear, bigotry, misogyny, and corruption.  In this case it has come out of the shadows into the glaring light.  We are having to look at what diversity means and how we must amend it to embrace all needs...a clarion call to stretch the embrace of diversity.  What have we not addressed in this great nation of ours.  

Self-Sabotaging Definitions

Ironically, it is time to recognize how our previous definitions can sting and sabotage us.  For instance, in our country we say that anyone can run for the powerful office of president.  With no discerning qualifying parameters this has meant even one who hurts and slanders differing factions of our society, and even violates the very values our country was built upon, can get away with ascending to this power.  We are in the strongest concentration of the archetypal meaning of this Scorpio month, personal power and politics.  Look at what President Obama accurately describes as the "First Americans" are going through.  I know from my own heritage that the Cherokee and Iroquois Nations lived the founding tenets of democracy.  How have they been treated?  Consciousness is being brought forth in this shock and trauma and will continue to be until we get it.  

With Pluto flexing its muscles in the archetypal area of what governs us - Capricorn - Patriarchy, old paradigms are being purged and displaced.  In the purging part of the process, we are not always in favor of how it does it.  Pluto, the archetypal forces for pushing the light of the soul through the limiting illusion of personality is doing its part to usher us into the Age of Aquarius.  This is personal and global.  More surprises will come in its wake.  Sometimes it is the startling contrast to what we deeply believe that becomes the catalyst for the changes we must take.  It is time to take a good look at what serves our evolution and to purge ourselves of what does not.  How we do this is up to each of us.  We no longer have the luxury of dwelling under fuzzy illusions.  We have to clarify our core values, do our part to effect healthy change and reform our communities based on our collective insights.  

Healing the Trauma - What Can We Do?

For balance and healing we can look to the opposite of Scorpio, Taurus.  This is the sign the moon is in on the 14th of November and the message is big, like the moon.  First, take care of the body.  Give it what it wants and needs even if it seem naughty.  Activate the pleasure principle.  Be sensual. Appease all the senses.  Listen to the music that nurtures and inspires.  Enjoy the smell of home cooking and beautiful flowers, the earth, the gardens, aromatherapy oils, the fragrance of your your lover, your pet, your family members, your garden.  Sage your home to clear out the negative energy.  Look for beauty in any silver lining no matter how small it seems. Feel all that you feel.  Express it in your own way.  Be full of gratitude for your blessings as we come into the season of Thanksgiving.  Give it your all.  Rest, dream and regenerate.  Build your financial security.  Lie down on the ground to feel the support of Mother Earth.  From this grounding in the present, in the now, you can begin to feel the power of self worth, to find your way, to do your part.  The quality of our personal and political solutions will be built upon the foundation of the quality of care we give ourselves.

  Be as Present as Possible - Love and Cherish Each Other

  We may not be able to do anything about the past or the future but we can glean the jewels of wisdom from what we have learned about the past.  Be more vigilant in the present realizing that the future is a flowering of the present.  Love and cherish each other, not so much in your words, as in your actions.  As Ram Dass so aptly taught "Be here now."  Much may seem topsy turvy for awhile.  It behooves us to stay grounded and as my first book says, once you are standing in your sacred ground of being and sense of Self Worth:  STAND YOUR GROUND!.   

Last Words of Encouragement

Let us put our positive thoughts forward that this person who has no experience in the political offices and military can connect with his heart and soul to be a fresh empty vessel to receive the needs of the many and become a leader we can become proud of.  If he doesn't, we must remain vigilant and strategic in our response to hold his feet to the fire of our deepest values.  

As Song Writer Cris Williamson sings in her song Like An Island Rising- "Like an island rising coming slowly up from sea (the subconscious knowing), causing tidal waves to be and causing some catastrophe, the damage done, another sun shall rise and shine again.  The bird is swimming in the air.  The fish is flying freely."

ILLUMINATE YOUR DEEPEST HEART'S DESIRE

Cosmologically Speaking, and strategically speaking, this New Moon in Scorpio is the most potent time of year to illuminate your deepest intentions.  Generally, new moons are the most effective times to plant the seeds of your intentions.  This one carries exponential power as the Scorpio archetype is the very essence of transformation.  It is ruled by highly concentrated Pluto.  Pluto is all about power - personal power, imbalances in social power, political power, sexual power, financial power, spiritual power and all ways power is utilized for transformation.  Think about the potency of one drop of Plutonium.  This is true of any intentions you set into motion at this time.  Scorpio is deep and secretive.  It only shows the tip of its iceberg.

IS IT ARMAGEDDON or PURIFICATION for BALANCE?

Cosmologically Speaking, on a large scale, the Full Moon in Aries illuminates that polar division between war and peace within ourselves, in our relationships and, ultimately, with the world.   The full moon in Aries with the Sun in Libra is all about all relationships.  Isn't war and peace about how we relate to ourselves and to each other?  Due to the multiple themes in this full moon's archetypal messages this blog will be longer than most.  You may find some more relevant than others.

Ascending into the Consciousness of the Heart

As we go, some of us, kicking and screaming, toward integrating the consciousness of the heart, we will have to discover that in the garden of life there is room for all the flowers. Love for all and the desire to be in harmony with nature, our own natures, and those of others will promote us into more of our potential as divine-human hybrids.  Respect becomes the pervasive way of approaching each other. Without going into too much astro-speak, the transpersonal planetary archetypes are squaring off with our personal archetypes of emotion, passion and ways of communicating and integrating information and each other.

Without going into too much astro-speak, the transpersonal planetary archetypes are squaring off with our personal archetypes of emotion, passion and ways of communicating and integrating information and each other.  Suffice it to say, the transpersonal planetary archetypes for social transformation and progress are squaring off with our personal archetypes of emotion, passion and the ways we communicate and integrate information.

Pluto, the great purifier/transformer has been bringing issues of abuse of authority, government and power to a head since January 27th 2008.  In the external world, all the old governing paradigms are being nudged, in no uncertain terms, to  purify and evolve.  When this happens the old ways often attempt to assert themselves with great vehemence. On a more personal note, the resounding clarion call inside each of us is to discover what it means to stay true to our souls generally and within our relationships.  Sound like a tall order?  It is!

Ironically it will require the strongest of the feminine soft power and the most gentle and refined of the masculine power to balance the scales.  Given that Pluto is in Capricorn this gender tango will have to play out in the most public arenas until new more balanced structures are integrated into society.  Equal pay and abolition of sexual harassment and the ways we embrace the dispossessed are at the tip of the iceberg to this societal evolutionary bath.  

We Are in for Surprises

We are in for a wide array of surprises.  Some of them will be shocking.  Given the arenas of the transpersonal planetost will have global ramifications. Where we do not listen nature will help us in her mysterious ways.  Our human culture is being pushed to transform at the deepest diseased elements of society.  These elements are the lack of balance between the receptive  and active dynamics of our lives.  Look at the most glaring example, of late, of this imbalance in the extreme, that is dominating the news.  The actions of the aggressive high profile alpha Mars archetype on the vulnerable Venusian feminine.  The unjust imbalance is shouting to be heard. Keep in mind that a major part of our ascent into our evolution involves a more expanded use of heart.  This will necessitate a combination of increased awareness that leads to discernment as well as respect for the beauty and value of diversity.  

What do the words Woman, Women, Female and She Have in Common?

It has always been curious to me how inclusive the words woman, women, female and she are.  All carry two words and two genders.  The spectrum of gender identity may be drawn from this inclusive phenomenon.  Interestingly, it is said that the founders of judo (the martial art of the gentle way) and aikido (the martial art that expresses the way of love and harmony) on their death beds, when asked by their most advanced students what the secret to the arts were, said "If you want to know the secret watch women in their daily lives - the ways they interact with their young, the ways they care for their families, the ways they support life - these are the underlying principles of the arts."  Surely a full integration of the feminine will balance the scales of how we may habitually conduct ourselves on a daily basis.
                                   

The Freedom to Be More of Yourself

Those who have endeavored to deal with relationship issues to improve the quality of the relationship will find rewards beyond what was desired.  Issues that have not been addressed will be magnified. 

                                                         
On the more personal level, issues related to the needs of the individual and those of the relationship(s) will be highlighted, especially during this weekend.  Old issues in this department will rear their insistent heads, sometimes crying out like a baby needing to be held.  Each of us will find ourselves asking and indeed, negotiating, how can I stay true to my soul and my relationship(s)?  I love what one of my favorite philosophers, Joseph Campbell, said about what happened to him when he and his wife married.  He said he became freer to become more of himself in the marriage!  This is the harmony that is possible when one is in harmony with Self.  Without this harmony it becomes all too reflexive to project our inner relationship with ourselves onto those closest to us.   The notion of the other dissolves when we relate from our souls.   It is not about becoming co-dependent, rather, interdependent as we truly are.  Hopefully we will not have to have harsh nudges to remind us. 

In the Final Analysis

There are helpful modalities to smooth over the uncomfortable edges that can accompany our growth. Neptune's tools - meditation, music, conscious rest after activity and dreamwork soften the polarizing illusions and usher us to be the fulcrum for the scales.  Each of us holds the power to make a big difference.  After all, the whole is as good as the quality of each of its parts.  

Here is a daily two-step mantra:  How do you listen and understand and how do you choose to love?

IN BALANCE WE HAVE LIFT OFF: Love

Cosmologically Speaking, this New Moon in Libra reminds us that every moment ushers us into an opportunity to love.  Libra is the archetype that brings love and its expressions of harmony, beauty, peace and justice into our world.  As I rest here in this gentle land of Oregon in joyful anticipation of my nephew's wedding, I am aware of what an illusive delicate energy love is...and yet, it is the most powerful force ever.  

The love pebble for the greater global lake

Before going further I must define love as I am referencing it.  Love is:

1)  On a universal level, love is a compulsion of the soul, heart and mind that activates the desire to respect the unique beauty of each person.  It is filled with a consistent wish that each person may fulfill the potential of their soul's desire.

2)  On a personal level, and this is the focus of this message as I feel it to be the pebble in the greater lake, love is the compulsion of the heart that both activates and allows a safe emotional place for an exchange of warmth, some form of pleasure, nurturing and fulfillment.  When each of us expresses  and receive love it has a rippling out effect.  It touches one, one then touches another with it, and so on.  It is a form of consciousness that is certainly contagious in the field of life.

A butterfly with only one wing

This year, starting on September 9th and ending October 10, 2017, we have the encouragement of expansive protective Jupiter's arrival into this universal symbol of love ... add to this the potent triumvirate combination of the Sun, Jupiter and the reflective Moon in this love field, it is perhaps the most fertile time to plant the seeds which will bring forth the qualities of your most desired ideal love, be it a romantic partnership, a friendship, a business partnership, a family and/or a pet.

Make your list today...but do be careful to make two columns on your paper - one that describes the qualities you wish for in your partner, and the other with corresponding qualities you have to offer to match or compliment each quality of theirs.  For example: Column 1, "I want someone with a sense of humor"  Column 2 "I want to love with my laughter." Without the second column you will be setting yourself up to have your love become a butterfly with only one wing.  Think about all the times you have made your ideal partner list by stating only the kind of partner you want.  They show up and you don't.  You may not even recognize them, and if you do it may be wonderful at first, but then the cracks have a way of outshining the initial excitement.  They will show up if your intentions have been clearly stated or written...but without your corresponding contributions the love of the desired one may be misinterpreted, and usually dismissed.  Without the matching second column, it can be so easy to default to relating to the love that shows up through the mental lens of fear, tribal prejudice, friends' fears of your showing them another way that love is possible, and general self sabotaging feelings of unworthiness.  The second column is a useful gauge to where you are able to be authentic in what you wish to attract.  This is the key attractor factor.

And here's the rub

Ultimately, we can only love to the degree that we love ourselves.  This is the root relationship.   If you are not interested in an external partnership, it is an auspicious time to rekindle loving yourself.  Give and receive in equal measure.  If nothing else it is healthy.

Wishing you great joy in attracting and receiving the love you desire!

SURRENDER and FLOW

Cosmologically Speaking, this dreamy Harvest Full Moon in Pisces offers us the opportunity to plant our feet into the benefits of the Greater Flow - the collective unconscious, to emerge with the nectar.  With Jupiter's recent entry into Libra, the sign of love and harmony, big healing of deeply seated wounds is highly possible.  As a result do not be surprised if you encounter people from your past, even souls from past lives. 

Food and music from other cultures may capture your interest as Pisces is the archetype that embraces all cultures, all feelings, and all emotional intelligence.  It represents dissolution of the boundaries that create the illusion that we are separate.  Perfectly timed in preparation for the Autumn Equinox next week, Pisces opens us to the ocean, to ebb and flow.  The veils between mystery and practical "reality" is thinning.  Allow yourself to be the ocean, the receptive ebb and active flow.  In Tao there are no straight lines - only the ways you receive and the ways you flow.  I love practicing and teaching the majestic Flowing Forms.  Qigong teaches that when you surrender to this simple rhythm flow happens.  Whether we like it or not everything is caught in this rhythm, contraction and expansion, expansion and contraction - like a rider is caught in the rhythm of the horse's gallop - a wonderful feeling by the way.

How would your life be different if you listened to your inner flow and immersed IT into life's greater flow?  Let yourself describe it in a journal or record as many of the details of this different feeling of life that you can.  Let your stream of awareness of a fluid way of being express itself.  Which rituals will emerge into your days that remind you to flow?  Which rhythms instigate flow inside you.  This is a powerful healing mechanism that you can tap and then help others find within themselves. Perhaps start with the rhythm of breathing that relaxes and/or energizes you.  When you tune in you will know if you need to speed up or slow down the rhythm of your breathing practice.  In time your will be able to regulate your blood pressure.  Which music ushers you into your inner smile - classical, African, Brazilian, Indian...all of the above, and more?  Invite music into your life daily until the feeling becomes internalized to the point of being reflexive.  Watch and feel your life transform.

By tuning into rhythms you will find yourself accessing inner music, poetry and the science of what allows you to activate the strength of your vulnerability.  Think about this - the strength of your vulnerability - openness... radiance, acceptance.  You must direct your will into surrender in order to access your inner flow.  You can create a safe place to do this for yourself and/or enlist help from a professional.  

Pisces is about fluid movement - dance sensually, swim gracefully, enjoy the ebb and flow in lovemaking.  It is an excellent time to work with your dreams as dreams emerge from the great collective subconscious in which we know everything.  Dreams are the language that speak to us of the movement that is going on deep inside.  They are the big ocean talking to us in ways the limited controlling mind will not allow.  Initiate a relationship with your dreams if you have not already done so...such a powerful tool for becoming whole.

Meditation, the intervening practice of Stillness, both relaxes and strengthens your nervous system(s) into becoming an inner container to hold and develop these healthy rhythms of flow throughout your body and mind...

VIRGO NEW MOON - Time for a Sweat Lodge or Sauna

Cosmologically Speaking, the New Moon in Virgo is a fertile time for purging the body, mind and emotions so that we can more effectively access our Spirits.  Virgo, the Virgin, is the archetype that has at its very working essence the adage "Cleanliness is next to Godliness."  This may be taken quite literally.  Bathing, showering not only cleans of the impurities from our skin but also something much more subtle - negative energies that may have attached to the energy fields each of us inhabit.  Virgo wakes each day to discover and nurture all that is pure - all that is free from hyperbole and other obscurities.  Virgoans know the "real deal" from what is not.

Virgo refers to anything one holds sacred.  These areas are kept clean and organized.  This is how you can tell what is sacred to a person.  All of us have Virgo drives in some area.  Something that is relatively unknown about Virgo is that it is considered to be the "Keeper of the Spirit."  When I mention this quality of Virgo it often falls on surprised ears.  People think the Virgo archetype is only focused on details, analyzing critiquing and organizing them...so how can it be the keeper of the spirit one may ask?  When all the details are cleaned up and organized watch how the spirit flows.

Emotionally, this new moon is a time to find ways to release guilt.  Virgo's know this emotion all too well.  It is an emotion that carries no useful value.  It just sits in the intestines, small and large, and blocks flow and feeling.  They are the organs that Virgo rules. Take the opportunity to cleanse your intestines and change guilt into constructive action.  The small intestines allow us to discern what is nutritious from what is not.  I remember my Cherokee French Virgo grandmother taking old clothes and papers and making a big bonfire in her back garden.  She seemed to gain great joy from this process of release.  Allow yourself, family members, lovers and friends to bring out the dark icky stuff especially if it seems like you or they are going crazy.  Once this stuff comes out you/they can radiate the health of their authentic selves.  The Virgo archetype so values honesty. It's a good time to have that honest conversation.

The new moon is a potent time to write down your intentions for releasing what is no longer allowing you to connect with your higher consciousness.  Start with your mind/body health.  Maybe have a look at your Ayurvedic body/mind/emotional type and start eating accordingly.   Virgo guides us toward education, mind/body practices such as yoga and qigong, the wisdom of nature...your true nature, selfless service to community and all other forms of self improvement.  Saunas, colonics and Native American Sweat Lodges are excellent ways of purging, depending on your state of health.  Give yourself the gift of an astrological reading.  Although these are Virgoan suggestions it is important to start with what works for you and go from there.  The idea is to do what works rather than adding to that guilt list Virgo can so easily create.  Remember the Virgo nature is the last developmental archetype in the self awareness dimension before we go into our relationships and out into the world.  Cleansing in every way is always a good idea to avoid bringing physical, mental and emotional baggage into a relationship.

FOR ALL HUMANKIND - All for One and One for All

Cosmologically Speaking, today's Full Moon in Aquarius invites us to request that a truth be revealed.  Here is my ultimate favorite music in the world.  You will recognize it from the film Gandhi.  Ravi Shankar arranged and played this ancient bajan - a song with a spiritual theme or idea.  It refers to all the names we call God, the purifying union of Sita and Ram, and a request for universal truth.  I danced to it  at the World Congress on Traditional and Complimentary Medicine in Malaga, Spain in 1991.  There were over five hundred delegates from the global community, members of the United Nations, and the World Health Organization (WHO).  I was pleasantly surprised that his dance that combined both fierce martial arts and qigong earned me the Saint Georges Cross from the Knights of Malta.   
 

In both my meditation and qigong classes I opened the blessing that one of the most strategic, if not the most strategic universal truths is that we must honor the value, nurturance and power that the most often dismissed role of female and Mother plays in our world.   How different would our world be if we celebrated our mothers or even just the Sacred Mother contribution throughout the day and throughout the species.  This lacking is the crux of what is wrong with our world.  Granted, there are many wonderful wise men who have integrated these gentle nurturing qualities.  Bless them!  On the battleground who do dying soldiers call for?  When a person sneezes in Mexico or other Spanish-speaking countries, the first sneeze receives the blessing of "Jesus" - if there is a second sneeze (because we are supposedly close to death during a sneeze or orgasm) a more potent power is called upon "Jesus Maria."   This applies to women who have suppressed their own feminine powers.  Chris Williamson sings a beautiful song called See the Beaching of the Whales.  In the song there is a line "before they do it for you, you silence your own voice" ... so true of so many women.  It is time to find a way through the fear to speak in your own way.  

I also site Sri Aurobindo and Satprem's startling book about him entitled Sri Aurobindo or the Adventure of Consciousness.  Like the Dalai Lama, Paramanhansa Yogananda, Sri Aurobindo and Satprem defer to the Mother.  Even when we have had an unpleasant relationship with our mothers, or an absence of the presence of a mother, it is important at this time to value the role they played.  Some men have played the role of mother.  It is time to value those brave souls.  Bring out a photo of your mother or mother figure.  Listen to what she has given you.  This is a key to so much emotional blockage.  Ironically, we will then have to release what hasn't worked from your mother and enclose what has worked with your ideal mother qualities.

Finally, the Aquarius full moon is about freedom from the past in order to be an exemplary being of the present and future.  It is time to release whatever you can that is holding you back from being the loving compassionate human being that you are.  Sometimes this means embracing friends closer and releasing those with love who are not in our best interest.

TAP YOUR REGAL HEART: The Bridge Between Heaven and Earth

Cosmologically Speaking, this New Moon in Leo opens the stage curtains for you as playwright and director to express your heart's desire.  This month is all about the spine (integrity) and expression of your heart and soul.  

Take a moment to place both palms on your heart - first the left palm, then cover it with your right palm.  You may place them directly over your heart or place them in the center of your chest on your heart center.

Feeling is life's magnet.  It is the key interface between desire and manifestation - the bridge between heaven and earth.

Take three deep breaths while focusing on your heart.  Allow yourself to be present with whatever is there.  Ask your heart what it needs.  Imagine that you have taken a snapshot of it.  Now imagine that you are planting it in the Universe.  The Universe is the manifesting mechanism of the Creator.  Release it and trust that your need will be met.  As many of you know, the Universe responds to our hearts' intent.

Now, I invite you to return to your heart.  Place your palms there as before. Breathe in and out three times. Ask it what it wants.  Once it tells you.  Plant it in the center of the Universe as the center of the Multiverse.  Release by removing yourself  as you would after you plant a seed in a garden.  Sometimes we don't realize how we block ourselves from receiving by standing over the seed rather than stepping away to allow it to flourish.  We do this by continuously focusing on what we want and need. The Universe responds to the lightness and vibration of our wishes...both of which are continuous until we grasp.  As my poet friend, Ray Gwynn Smith, says, you cannot box a natural source of radiant light.  Each of us is one of these sources of light.

This new moon is all about radiating the Sun that burns within your heart and spine.  It is about creativity, self- expression, humor, warmth, good will, adventure, romance,  love and all affairs of the heart, theater, enterprise, the interconnectedness of life and play.  Tune into your favorite way of playing as a child...when you were fully immersed in the play...and the world as we know it disappeared.  This way of playing can provide a window into your soul's purpose and career choice.  Articulation of your soul on earth is your royal blood.  Listening and responding to other hearts is the foundation for leadership!

As Joseph Campbell says "Follow your bliss."

TIME to MANIFEST YOUR GREATEST SELF: Heaven is Coming to Earth

Cosmologically Speaking, it is time to bring forth your most ancient knowledge and wisdom and to speak its truth through living it!  Without thinking too much, what have you always known is possible?  What are your wildest dreams?  If you listen and look, the veil will part on this full moon in Capricorn - the expression of heaven on earth - to reveal what you must do in order to live from this place inside out.   

Two weeks ago on the new moon I stated that the Divine Mother inside you is extending her hand to you to pull you through your insecurities into a more loving nurturing situation/environment.  I asked you to look for who is pulled forth under the spotlight of today's full moon.  Who is walking through from your dreams?  A part of yourself perhaps... and/or another.  It may seem like a fairytale.  Fairytales come from some reality somewhere. "If it can be conceived, it can be achieved" is the motto here.  It is up to us to live it.  I remember when I was invited to London to create my center there some 25 years ago.  When I asked where I wanted to have this center I said at the rooftop of London, in a beautiful place - Hampstead.  I wanted to have a homey feel, with a garden and very near public transport.  I was told through breaths of sarcasm to "dream on" to which I replied  'Thank you.  I will.  After that bold declaration, four days later I was told by an estate agent that there's this place, three levels, with a garden one minute away from the tube station.  It had not gone on the market yet.  The agent wanted me to know about it.  I was delighted ...literally!  It felt as though I was standing in a shaft of light...lit up.  The next step was to find that level of funding.  A student of mine, a member of the extended royal family, asked what could be done to keep my teachings alive in the U.K.  I said I needed a home for the work, one that reflected its beauty.  The next thing I knew we were purchasing the house and I was able to design the center and garden.  Although it did not fulfill my greatest vision, it was a good starter kit that attracted over five thousand people from all walks of life.  

Capricorn is the archetype that represents bringing our divinity to the human dimension of who we are.  It represents our biggest voice structured out in the world - vocation.  It also represents the father.  It likes to operate on a large scale with its great organizational skills.  The bigger the project, give it to a Capricorn.  

Cancer, on the other hand, is the most nurturing maternal archetype I talked about on the new moon.  It is receptive to the greatness of who we are and likes to help that part of ourselves grow.  With its ancient wisdom of the soul the pairing of the two archetypes could not be more ideal. They live within each of us even if we are not born under those signs or behavioral archetypes. The two together represent the best parenting we can give our souls.  What in you has been longing to live?  Set your intent to do whatever it takes to open the door to let it walk through!  This is the time!

The DIVINE MOTHER iS EXTENDING HER HAND to YOU

Cosmologically Speaking, this New Moon in Cancer (July 4th) is perhaps the most fertile time of the year in which to cast your intent for growth in any area.  Cancer is the ultimate Mother-family energetic archetype.   It rules the breasts, chest, and stomach - all nurturing parts of the body. It represents all the women in our lives.  It is considered to be the most feminine energy, the most receptive for planting seeds, the most nurturing as it represents home, mother and baby, and the fuel for any type of art.  The deepest home is the soul. Thus it is a time to connect with yours.  Soul is the place where we feel most at home, most at peace, have access to infinite love, knowing, abundance and bliss.  When you are experiencing all of these moods, you are in the presence of your soul.  It might be helpful to make a list - or a collage - of all the things, people and experiences that tend to contribute to these qualities within.  What would you like to see grow in your life?  Make a wish list. It is a time to bring forth the most feminine aspects of yourself regardless of gender and to attract the ideal nurturing person into your life.  

I love my Cancerian friends as well as those nurturing qualities within myself.  Cancers bring so much emotional support and wild humor to my life.  Their symbol, that looks like the number 69, represents the sacred embrace of those closest...family and other loved ones.  When emotionally unblocked (as they can easily retreat into their shells when their sensitivity is violated), they are forces of nature in that their energy supply seems endless.  They can be so emotionally present.  In their receptivity to the souls of others, they supply the juice that makes things grow. Unfortunately, their support is often desired yet, equally, taken for granted.  In our Western culture those lovely meals, that loving smile, the deep gaze into one's eyes, the right words that set the soul on fire, and fierce protectiveness of loved ones is too often easily absorbed and ignored.  Take time over the next few days to cherish those qualities of yourself and those of others...and watch them grow over the next two weeks.  

This new moon in Cancer, now boosted by Mars having gone direct last week, is a time to dip into your ancient wisdom.  This wisdom shows up in our dreams.  It is a good time to learn about yourself through dreamwork.    The symbolic Crab is an ancient creature who has had many homes and felt many things.  It is a good time to get in touch with your heritage.  Which of the curses of your ancestors are you carrying?  If they are not serving you find ways to release them.  Which of your ancestors were powerful forces?  Know that their power is in your DNA.  Just open to it and feel the support.  It can empower your goals and your potential.   

Finally, pause for a moment, to allow yourself to feel the embrace of the Divine Mother.  What is she saying to you?  How does it feel?  It is time to 're-enwomb' yourself in the loving embrace of your internal home as well as that of the Earth.  What will you give back to both?  Which new petal of you will reveal itself in two weeks on the Full Moon?

Part II - SOLSTICE FULL MOON 2016: Reparent Your Genie

Cosmologically Speaking, the last time we had this combination of the Summer Solstice and the Full Moon was in 1948.  Sun in nurturing Cancer, the Mother archetype and the Moon in Capricorn, the protective providing Father archetype, brings us into the light of our relationship with our parents.
What has been most enduring gift from your parents, besides the gift of life?  Even if you have had the most non-nurturing, non-protective parents, the fact remains ...they have given you something. Your discovery of these gifts serve as a launching pad into your unique destiny.  Accepting the gifts can be incredibly healing.

Any issues around how you are nurtured and nurture as well as how you are protected, guided and provided for are up for review.  Embracing your vulnerability and your feelings as a source of inner strength is a good place to start.  When I presented my U.K. television series, Stand Your Ground, it became patently clear to me that there are certain factors that contribute to what I call the Bully-Victim Syndrome.  More often than not, a bully is one who was taught by the father to not display feelings of vulnerability such as sadness...usually boys.  So the child learns to suppress these expressions of the inner most self which gets played out on others they perceive as being weak.  Little girls are taught to suppress anger as it is "not ladylike behavior"...often by both parents.  So the girl learns to suppress her natural expressive/protective fire and becomes more susceptible to becoming a chronic victim of the will of others.  Sadly, on a larger social scale the adage:  Men kill off their weak and women kill off their strong becomes a behavioral norm... 

We can learn to reparent ourselves so that we may love ourselves into fulfilling more of our potential.  We needn't remain stuck in the clutches of parents who did not live out their assigned archetypes.  Thank them if they are/were helpful and loving guides for you.  Release them if they were not.  First, honor and embrace the divine inner child that you are - a carrier of unique truth and light.  Then make a list of the kind of parents you would give yourself.  What kind of structures would you set up for your inner child to ensure that she/he grows in an atmosphere of love, beauty and protection.  Turn it into your daily action mantra.  If you are a parent may this be a reminder to the key ways you nurture and protect your children.   Capricorn, the seagoat, likes to rise from the depths of the sea get to the top of the mountain.  I am thinking of how Lebron James, a Capricorn, bloomed into his talents and made NBA history last night leading his team to victory.  Even though I am a Warriors fan, I have to say that he is certainly an example of one who has reparented himself with his mind and the development of his body - especially in the face of adversity, and against all odds.

As we move deeper into summer, may we become the architects of environments that allow our inner genie, our genius, to flourish.

Part I - TIME to UNCORK the GENIE and GIVE it a NEW HOME

Cosmologically Speaking, whether it be a change in status, a new awareness about your parents, a karmic insight, an emergence of something edifying that has been hithertofore unconscious, the light of this Strawberry/Rose full moon in Sagittarius raises your consciousness from the "lower" thinking mind to the more expansive intuitive use of mind.  Two full moons in the sign of Sagittarius within the space of a month is a rare opportunity to strengthen the use of your logical mind and a highly fertile time to expand into the bigger picture of the intuit mind.  It is a time to reveal and express your most potent philosophies of life.  What do you believe?  Point it out and go for it with confidence and ease.  

The etymology of the word genius suggests that each of us is assigned a little attendant or genie at birth to support our moving into our highest potential.  Well, my friends, it is time to uncork the genie of your soul and let it guide and support us.  Just pause for a moment in a safe comfortable place.  Imagine that your soul has just offered you a beautiful bottle that contains a message or messages from your soul,  release the cork and let them billow out of the bottle in full HD technicolor ...perhaps like an enormous quotation symbol or a hot air balloon.  What images show up?  Let yourself revel in the magic of their presence.  This is your innate presence coming to you in full bloom.  And although it may be fragile initially,  continue to breathe the oxygen of your presence into it.  Gently occupy it and protect it until it becomes hardwired into who your perceive yourself to be.

Remember in my last blog I asked you to let me know which of the seeds of your intentions are starting to show up in the light of this full moon?  I am happy to hear from my clients today and some of you have messaged me about what changes have occurred.  Look for them.  They are there... even if they appear as tendrils of change in the direction of the intentions you planted two weeks ago. 

 Celebrate any change.  Remember what you celebrate grows as your are shedding your light and powerful joy upon it when you celebrate.  When my father and family was stationed in Guam when we were youngsters, in addition to being in love with the beautiful beach life, we loved going to the fiestas the Guamanians would frequently lay out with good food, drink, flowers and song for community celebration.  Any change for the better was an opportunity to celebrate.  If two neighbors who had a dispute resolved it...celebrate!  If two lovers reconciled...celebrate!  If a child got a new puppy...celebrate!  You name it - any upgrade in the lives of the community became grounds for the celebratory fiesta!  When you live with gratitude and look at your life from the bigger picture there is always a reason to celebrate! 

Receive it and radiate it.  Let your light shine!

Laying Down the Template for Your Fulfillment: New to Full Moon

Cosmologically Speaking, today's New Moon in Gemini is the time to inscribe the template for your fulfillment.

Over the next two weeks in the build-up to the Strawberry Full Moon (also known as Rose Full Moon in Europe) in Sagittarius find a new way to communicate your intentions for your fulfillment.  Write it down or record it.  By fulfillment I am referring to expanding into more of your potential in such a way that brings you emotional satisfaction... in such a way that activates your inner smile, your feel good factor, a way that ignites your spine, your passion... your love.

 All of us are like flow-ers.   We are here to bloom in the expression(s) of our unique essence.

 A few years ago a man who had offered to do marketing and publicity for me told me of his frustration in presenting my offerings to the public arena.  He had been drawn to work with me because he liked that I am what he referred to as "a renaissance person." However after trying to market me he had run into a challenge.  One day he exclaimed in exasperation "I am finding that people do not trust you because no one can offer those many tools and do them well unless they are a Supreme Being." I smiled and asked him how does one know when they are in the presence of one who is living their Supreme Self?  He was stymied ... and offered no response.  Not meaning to be arrogant, rather to ask each of us - How do you know when you are living from your Supreme Self - the Self that radiates the light of your Creator, the Self that expresses a different gift through each of your fingers and toes?  Certainly a place to start is to discover if you are aware of twenty-one things you do well.  Be sure to include things such as smiling, brushing your teeth, grieving, sleeping, thinking, relating and all the other exciting things you may take for granted.  As Bruce Lee said to his students Take what works and go from there.

This New Moon is all about the ways you communicate - the way you put information together.

Discover the ways you communicate that work.  
Let yourself discover a new way of communicating to expand your knowledge... even if it means being quiet in times when you typically speak.    Knowledge is power and leads to wisdom. New moons in general are excellent times to energetically set intention.  Intention requires words.  Words are powerful.  In the beginning was the word, etc....They are energy magnets.  There are other ways of communicating through music, art, telepathically through prayer, physically through use of your eyes and hands.  Let yourself explore the diversity in your communication tool box.  This is a time to employ versatility.  Organize the details of your fulfillment template.  Open the door for your inner genius to walk out.  Draw from your dreams, nature, poetry, philosophies - past and present - and see what starts to emerge on the Full Moon on the 20th.  It will be in Sagittarius.  Generate or extract a mantra for yourself to repeat three times a day.  You select the times.  Keep the pulse of your mantra flowing everyday for two weeks. May's New Moon to Full Moon - MANIFEST YOUR SACRED GROUND of BEING!

Cosmologically Speaking, this Full Moon on the 21st reveals the necessary expression of what was planted on the New Moon on May 6th.  The new moon in Taurus consciously or unconsciously awakened the most undeniable keys to who you are and why you are here.   Once discovered the intention was set to to germinate and propel you into becoming that divine seed within your being.  

Your time has come to expand into your heart and communicate from your soul at a level that serves your Self awareness and your role in the evolution of humanity.  

The full moon this weekend shines its light on the ways you may choose to set up the environments, friends, subjects and creatures that nurture this sacred ground of who you instinctively know yourself to be - not the self that fear may direct, rather the illuminated Self that carries unmistakable directional strength, unfathomable love, influence and healing power.  It is time to heighten sensitivity to what feeds this aspect of you.  The unfolding of your greater Self is at hand.  Your time has come to expand into your heart and communicate from your soul at a level that serves your Self awareness and your role in the evolution of humanity.   Allow yourself to go deep.  Listen to your heart and bring forth the holy grail that is your assignment from your maker.  You are a unique facet of the great diamond of the greater consciousness.  It time to embrace your part of this greater consciousness.

If we meditate. self reflect, journal, dance and slow down we will find ourselves rewarded.

At first this may seem a daunting task.  With five planets having been retrograde over the last few months we are charged to go inward, to restructure and reorganize our attitudes toward who we are, to purify and clean off what may have come through trauma and personal as well as social ignorance.  Most of us have experienced the cloud of mishaps in communication that Murphy's Law can overshadow.  However, if we meditate. self reflect, journal, dance and slow down we will find ourselves rewarded.  Mercury is the first of the five to go direct on Sunday.  This shift will lighter our abilities to communicate what we have discovered inside.  There are so many ways to do this - through words, silence, art, music, poetry, and many more.  It is a good time to take a step forward, to see the bigger picture of who you are, to boldly step forward from what you have gleaned from your ancestors and to release yourself from their limitations fueled by their gifts.  Keep looking inside the looking glass and don't let fear prevent you from celebrating the treasures you find.  

After all, why were you born?

Buckle Up and Step Forward into Your I AM ___________________

Cosmologically Speaking, now is the perfect time to either hold fast to your inner core or to move forward with it as your guide.  Spring has sprung and so has something within you.  Only you know what it is.  With the language of the new moon in Aries directly squaring Pluto in Capricorn each of us can seize the opportunity to come to terms with authority - yours and/or other.  Which ponds in your life have become too small that are creating a build-up of frustration?  These areas are the markers where understanding and growth is calling.  Is it a relationship with self or other? Work? Creativity?  Finances? Travel? House and garden? Whatever it may be, these areas hold the possibility for an awakening and growth.

Here's the rub - Sometimes moving forward starts with doing nothing, being still, waiting for inner guidance.  It can be surprising how long this can last.  Patience with your inner guidance truly is a virtue.  Such is true with Spring.  In the practice of qigong when all the glorious burgeoning dizzy-making sprouts of the season are in full bloom, we practice harmony through developing tranquility.  Growth is beautiful.  It can also be stressful.  It is challenging, to say the least, for the sap in the tree to fully rise if the tree is moving about all the time. To glean the most from Spring and this new moon set your intent to practice tranquility so that more of your essence and inner guidance can come forth.  Essence brings peace, vitality, improved health, joy and, ultimately, fulfillment.  Take time to sit in the throne of your soul.  The rest will follow.
