Cosmologically Speaking, the last time we had this combination of the Summer Solstice and the Full Moon was in 1948. Sun in nurturing Cancer, the Mother archetype and the Moon in Capricorn, the protective providing Father archetype, brings us into the light of our relationship with our parents.
What has been most enduring gift from your parents, besides the gift of life? Even if you have had the most non-nurturing, non-protective parents, the fact remains ...they have given you something. Your discovery of these gifts serve as a launching pad into your unique destiny. Accepting the gifts can be incredibly healing.
Any issues around how you are nurtured and nurture as well as how you are protected, guided and provided for are up for review. Embracing your vulnerability and your feelings as a source of inner strength is a good place to start. When I presented my U.K. television series, Stand Your Ground, it became patently clear to me that there are certain factors that contribute to what I call the Bully-Victim Syndrome. More often than not, a bully is one who was taught by the father to not display feelings of vulnerability such as sadness...usually boys. So the child learns to suppress these expressions of the inner most self which gets played out on others they perceive as being weak. Little girls are taught to suppress anger as it is "not ladylike behavior"...often by both parents. So the girl learns to suppress her natural expressive/protective fire and becomes more susceptible to becoming a chronic victim of the will of others. Sadly, on a larger social scale the adage: Men kill off their weak and women kill off their strong becomes a behavioral norm...
We can learn to reparent ourselves so that we may love ourselves into fulfilling more of our potential. We needn't remain stuck in the clutches of parents who did not live out their assigned archetypes. Thank them if they are/were helpful and loving guides for you. Release them if they were not. First, honor and embrace the divine inner child that you are - a carrier of unique truth and light. Then make a list of the kind of parents you would give yourself. What kind of structures would you set up for your inner child to ensure that she/he grows in an atmosphere of love, beauty and protection. Turn it into your daily action mantra. If you are a parent may this be a reminder to the key ways you nurture and protect your children. Capricorn, the seagoat, likes to rise from the depths of the sea get to the top of the mountain. I am thinking of how Lebron James, a Capricorn, bloomed into his talents and made NBA history last night leading his team to victory. Even though I am a Warriors fan, I have to say that he is certainly an example of one who has reparented himself with his mind and the development of his body - especially in the face of adversity, and against all odds.
As we move deeper into summer, may we become the architects of environments that allow our inner genie, our genius, to flourish.

Part I - TIME to UNCORK the GENIE and GIVE it a NEW HOME
Cosmologically Speaking, whether it be a change in status, a new awareness about your parents, a karmic insight, an emergence of something edifying that has been hithertofore unconscious, the light of this Strawberry/Rose full moon in Sagittarius raises your consciousness from the "lower" thinking mind to the more expansive intuitive use of mind. Two full moons in the sign of Sagittarius within the space of a month is a rare opportunity to strengthen the use of your logical mind and a highly fertile time to expand into the bigger picture of the intuit mind. It is a time to reveal and express your most potent philosophies of life. What do you believe? Point it out and go for it with confidence and ease.
The etymology of the word genius suggests that each of us is assigned a little attendant or genie at birth to support our moving into our highest potential. Well, my friends, it is time to uncork the genie of your soul and let it guide and support us. Just pause for a moment in a safe comfortable place. Imagine that your soul has just offered you a beautiful bottle that contains a message or messages from your soul, release the cork and let them billow out of the bottle in full HD technicolor ...perhaps like an enormous quotation symbol or a hot air balloon. What images show up? Let yourself revel in the magic of their presence. This is your innate presence coming to you in full bloom. And although it may be fragile initially, continue to breathe the oxygen of your presence into it. Gently occupy it and protect it until it becomes hardwired into who your perceive yourself to be.
Remember in my last blog I asked you to let me know which of the seeds of your intentions are starting to show up in the light of this full moon? I am happy to hear from my clients today and some of you have messaged me about what changes have occurred. Look for them. They are there... even if they appear as tendrils of change in the direction of the intentions you planted two weeks ago.
Celebrate any change. Remember what you celebrate grows as your are shedding your light and powerful joy upon it when you celebrate. When my father and family was stationed in Guam when we were youngsters, in addition to being in love with the beautiful beach life, we loved going to the fiestas the Guamanians would frequently lay out with good food, drink, flowers and song for community celebration. Any change for the better was an opportunity to celebrate. If two neighbors who had a dispute resolved it...celebrate! If two lovers reconciled...celebrate! If a child got a new puppy...celebrate! You name it - any upgrade in the lives of the community became grounds for the celebratory fiesta! When you live with gratitude and look at your life from the bigger picture there is always a reason to celebrate!
Receive it and radiate it. Let your light shine!

Laying Down the Template for Your Fulfillment: New to Full Moon
Cosmologically Speaking, today's New Moon in Gemini is the time to inscribe the template for your fulfillment.
Over the next two weeks in the build-up to the Strawberry Full Moon (also known as Rose Full Moon in Europe) in Sagittarius find a new way to communicate your intentions for your fulfillment. Write it down or record it. By fulfillment I am referring to expanding into more of your potential in such a way that brings you emotional satisfaction... in such a way that activates your inner smile, your feel good factor, a way that ignites your spine, your passion... your love.
All of us are like flow-ers. We are here to bloom in the expression(s) of our unique essence.
A few years ago a man who had offered to do marketing and publicity for me told me of his frustration in presenting my offerings to the public arena. He had been drawn to work with me because he liked that I am what he referred to as "a renaissance person." However after trying to market me he had run into a challenge. One day he exclaimed in exasperation "I am finding that people do not trust you because no one can offer those many tools and do them well unless they are a Supreme Being." I smiled and asked him how does one know when they are in the presence of one who is living their Supreme Self? He was stymied ... and offered no response. Not meaning to be arrogant, rather to ask each of us - How do you know when you are living from your Supreme Self - the Self that radiates the light of your Creator, the Self that expresses a different gift through each of your fingers and toes? Certainly a place to start is to discover if you are aware of twenty-one things you do well. Be sure to include things such as smiling, brushing your teeth, grieving, sleeping, thinking, relating and all the other exciting things you may take for granted. As Bruce Lee said to his students Take what works and go from there.
This New Moon is all about the ways you communicate - the way you put information together.

Let yourself discover a new way of communicating to expand your knowledge... even if it means being quiet in times when you typically speak. Knowledge is power and leads to wisdom. New moons in general are excellent times to energetically set intention. Intention requires words. Words are powerful. In the beginning was the word, etc....They are energy magnets. There are other ways of communicating through music, art, telepathically through prayer, physically through use of your eyes and hands. Let yourself explore the diversity in your communication tool box. This is a time to employ versatility. Organize the details of your fulfillment template. Open the door for your inner genius to walk out. Draw from your dreams, nature, poetry, philosophies - past and present - and see what starts to emerge on the Full Moon on the 20th. It will be in Sagittarius. Generate or extract a mantra for yourself to repeat three times a day. You select the times. Keep the pulse of your mantra flowing everyday for two weeks. Let me know what you see that you had not seen before in the light of the Full Moon in two weeks. Go ahead. Take a step into the personal growth and expansion that is illuminated on the 20th.
